2021 AGM and 2020–2021 Annual Report

The Moreton Bay Foundation Annual General meeting was held online on 4 November. The Board presented the annual and audit reports to members and guests and guest speaker Richard Batiuk provided valuable insights on the importance of collaboration based on his experiences in Chesapeake Bay.

The annual election of the Board was held – congratulations to our new and returning Directors. The TMBF Board for 2021/22 comprises:

• Rob Siganto (Chair of the Board)
• John Goodman (Director and Chair – Fundraising Committee)
• Ian Tibbetts (Director and Chair – Research Advisory Committee)
• Mark Gibbs (Director and Chair – Members Advisory Committee)
• Bruce Quarterman (Director and Chair – Investment Committee, Company Secretary)
• Meta Goodman (Director)
• Katie Walters (Director)

Katie Walters was appointed to the Board in September and will be familiar to some of you as the MC at the TMBF launch in 2019. Others will know her from her Moreton Bay Online Podcasts or in her current role as a Marine Campaigner with the Australian Marine Conservation Society (AMCS). Katie brings to the Board a wealth of knowledge about community engagement and a passion for Moreton Bay.
