Around 50 local, national and international scientists and practitioners joined TMBF recently for our second annual Expert Scientific Forum. Presenters highlighted the global trend from passive to more active restoration of degraded and at threat ecosystems, and highlighted lessons learned from tropical and temperate approaches. Discussion reinforced the need for collaboration, a strategic holistic outlook, and increased investment in line with the values and significance of Moreton Bay as a cultural, environmental and economic asset.
A formal report of proceedings will be available in the near future, along with recommendations for consideration by the Board.
