Cameron Costello is the CEO of the Quandamooka Yoolooburrabee Aboriginal Corporation (QYAC). In that position, Cameron is an advocate for the Quandamooka Peoples across all levels of government.
On behalf of QYAC, Cameron pursues strategic partnerships and projects with various organisations, community groups, education and training institutions. to help develop opportunities for Quandamooka People. As CEO he is particularly focused on promoting and facilitating QYAC’s vision for a Gudjundabu Marumba Gubiyiyanya (Tourism for a Glad Tomorrow), whilst ensuring strong sustainable economic development.
Cameron is also heavily involved on a number of Committees and Boards including the Queensland Tourism Industry Council, the Koala Advisory Group, The Moreton Bay Foundation, and Minjerribah Camping.

QYAC is a Registered Prescribed Body Corporate (PBC) created under the Native Title Act 1993 to manage the recognised Native Title rights and interests of the Quandamooka People following the determination on the 4 July 2011. QYAC has approximately 800 members and has the largest membership of all PBC’s in Australia. QYAC is the registered Cultural Heritage Body under the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Act 2003 (Qld) and is responsible for cultural heritage management across the Quandamooka Estate. QYAC is also the joint manager, with the State Government, of the Naree Budjong Djara (My Mother Earth) National Park, which is the largest piece of recreational infrastructure on Minjerribah. QYAC has a mission to achieve better outcomes for the Quandamooka people, Care for Country, create opportunities for future generations and work together towards a Glad Tomorrow.
