Help TMBF directly
If you are interested in volunteering or supporting The Moreton Bay Foundation (TMBF) in other ways, we would love to hear from you and get you involved! There are a range of volunteer positions available within TMBF which may suit your skills and interest. Alternatively, TMBF works with many different partners and stakeholders who sometimes also seek community member involvement. You may be interested in participating in some of those projects. Have a look at the below projects which you could get involved in. If you’re interested in getting involved, please complete the expression of interest form.
Research regarding Community wisdom about the marine environment of Moreton Bay
PhD student Katie Walters of Griffith University is conducting research to uncover community wisdom about the marine environment of Moreton Bay. The survey is a chance for community members to digitally “mark up” an online map of Moreton Bay with places they love, places they know about, and areas where they have thoughts about the use or users of the Bay. This type of survey is a bit like using Google or Apple maps, so it can be a bit challenging to people who aren’t familiar with it, but Ms Walters is happy to help – you can email email@example.com with your phone number to request assistance.
The survey takes about 10-15 minutes to complete and participants who complete it have the chance to win a weekend for two at Tangalooma (survey closes 8 December 2018).
The survey is part of a strategy to fully engage diverse stakeholders in Moreton Bay. When the survey is complete, results and further information will be posted for discussion and interaction on social media accounts, a blog, and a podcast linked to the research. You can join these discussions at:
