My name is Miranda Gregory and I was fortunate enough to be able to do a university internship at The Moreton Bay Foundation (TMBF) between March and May 2019.
I studied a Bachelor of Public Relations and Communication with a minor in marketing at Griffith University in Brisbane, and graduated in July 2019. When I was given the opportunity to do an internship as part of my degree requirements and saw The Moreton Bay Foundation listed, I applied for the position immediately. I love the environment and have enjoyed being able to apply my skills to a not-for-profit organisation in the past.
Living in the Moreton Bay region, I also was also aware of the beauty of the Bay and wanted to assist where I could. It wasn’t until I started my internship however, that I realised the true importance and vulnerability of the Bay.
Some of the tasks I completed during my time were; restyling, creating, formatting and sending email newsletters, advising TMBF Board members on the importance of social media and a strategic brand communication plan, and creating style templates for documents.
Moreton Bay and TMBF have found a special place in my heart, and moving forward I will continue to watch their growth and support them.
