TMBF LAUNCHES EXCITING DIGITAL PASSPORT FOR COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

The Moreton Bay Foundation (TMBF) is thrilled to announce the pilot launch of the Moreton Bay Passport. An innovative digital adventure designed to celebrate and connect our community with the beauty, culture and local businesses of Moreton Bay.

Launching at the National Parks Association Park of the Month – Nudgee Bay event on Saturday, 29th of November, the Passport is a free web-based platform that allows families, residents and visitors to collect digital “stamps’ by scanning QR codes at participating cafes, restaurants, tourism operators or taking a specified photo at scenic bay locations. Whether you’re enjoying a weekend coffee, exploring a boardwalk, or discovering hidden viewpoints, every scan brings a new digital stamp and a fresh, fun way to explore the region.

Designed to get people out and about, have fun and rediscover treasures right on their doorsteps, this project builds a ‘sense of place’. Bringing families, businesses and community together by making exploration easier, creating memories and  promoting environmental awareness for everyone who loves Moreton Bay.

We’re piloting our test web app, revealing fun new locations that stamps can be collected from. The project aims to spark excitement, foster local goodwill and encourage partnerships with businesses and councils, all while raising the profile of Moreton Bay and supporting its long term protection through a sense of stewardship.

Whilst the project is in its early stages, its activities include developing the digital platform, signing up local partners and rolling out QR signage across the Bay. Participation is easy, fun and safe, simply scan, collect and share your journey. Providing feedback will help TMBF prepare for a major science and tourism expansion in 2026.
