TMBF CEO Suzie Christensen resigned effective 30 December and we are sorry to see her go. Suzie came to TMBF with years of experience as a CEO of not-for-profit organisations and knew exactly what this fledging foundation needed to move us forward. As the Foundation’s first CEO, she worked tirelessly to establish procedures transforming the newly launched TMBF into an effective and responsive organisation. She guided the implementation of strategic priorities, enabling TMBF to fund, in the face of the pandemic, important research in Moreton Bay. Suzie reached out to the community, developing positive working relationships with our members and like-minded organisations in the Moreton Bay region, organising joint activities to benefit the Bay and establishing a Memorandum of Understanding with Healthy, Land and Water (HL&W).
Speaking of HL&W, that’s where you’ll find Suzie now, still working for the benefit of the Moreton Bay region. We celebrate Suzie’s new position. Given her knowledge of two of the principal organisations committed to a healthy future for the Bay, Suzie’s role in this effort will surely help us move forward in caring for this region for future generations.
Thank you, Suzie for lending your expertise, experience and enthusiasm to TMBF. We are better for it. You gave us the start that we needed.
