July 2026 – TMBF’s submission on the Diamond Head Seawall and Foreshore Improvements welcomes the draft concept design and its response to community priorities, including improved access, shade, coastal character and more resilient park infrastructure. TMBF supports the opportunity to protect public assets and improve community use of Keith Hill Park, while urging Sunshine Coast Regional Council to ensure the final design goes further than replacing hard infrastructure.
The submission calls for nature-based and eco-engineering features to be fully integrated into the seawall and foreshore, with strong commitments to habitat restoration, locally endemic planting, stormwater treatment, water quality protection, accessible pathways, and baseline and post-construction monitoring to support a healthier, more resilient Pumicestone Passage for wildlife, residents and visitors alike over time.
