Director – Suzy Wilson AM

Suzy was an educator before opening Riverbend Books in Brisbane in 1998. She is the Founder of the Indigenous Literacy Foundation which was the recipient of the Swedish, Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award (ALMA) in 2024.

Suzy is a recipient of the Johnno Award, The Dromkeen Medal for “being a catalyst in changing children’s lives through literature, the Lloyd O’Neil Award for outstanding contribution to the Australian Book Industry, and the Dame Annable Rankin award for distinguished services to literature.

Over forty years of trips ‘down the Bay’ and a desire to help protect and preserve Moreton Bay’s natural wonders for future generations inspired Suzy to join the TMBF board.
